- The first step is to asses you garden conditions. You need to make
sure that your garden soil has the right amount of moisture to promote
growth and drain easily as well. Garden soil is made up of clay, sand,
and silt, garden grows best when your soil has right balance of all

- Now, the next step is to pick a perfect spot. You need to determine
which spot on your site be it a yard or a balcony, gets the most
sunlight. Sunlight duration of at least 4 – 6 hours is required to grow

or other organic materials to increase soil fertility.
- Now, it’s up to you to decide, what kind a garden you would like to
nurture, perhaps a vegetable garden to ensure healthy crunchy salads

array of colorful blossoms to brighten up your day. Each of these
require their respective growing space for example, lettuce can be grown
in a solid mat but tomatoes on the other hand need to be spaced about 2
feet (60cm) apart.
- If you have space issues, then you can go for alternatives, lettuce
can be grown in pots, ‘Patio’ or ‘Tumbler Tomatoes’ can grow quite well
in hanging baskets, where as plants like cucumbers and pole beans will
require trellis as they climb and vine. Rosemary, Chives and Parsley can
be grown in flower beds.
- You can either start by purchasing seeds or plant small
platelets/saplings. Depending on your need and gardening experience.
- You need to water them as soon as you’re done with seeding to settle
the soil around the roots.
- Tend to your garden, day in day out. You need to keep a check of a few
garden care essentials like watering, sunlight, fertilizing, pest
control and growth control.
- Once the plants are mature enough to be harvested, with extreme
caution n care pluck them and start to actually enjoy the fruits of your
hard work.
